Urban 20 Mayoral Summit (U20)

The inaugural Urban 20 (U20) Mayoral Summit will convene ahead of the 2018 G20 Leaders' Summit, and is supported by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, as well as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), among others.

The U20 initiative is a natural step forward, which builds on years of city engagement in the UN system -which held, for the first time in 2018, a Local and Regional Governments Forum- as well as the momentum gained at the previous G20 Leaders' Summits and editions of the COP.
