Ecuador will host the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development in October 2016
The United Nations General Assembly welcomed today the offer by the Government of Ecuador to host the UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III), and decided that the Conference will be held in Quito during the week of the 17 of October 2016.

After a week of negotiations, the Open Working Group concluded its thirteenth session on Saturday 19th July and adopted a final proposal for the Sustainable Development Goals of the Post-2015 Agenda, which will be presented for consideration at the next United Nations General Assembly in September 2014.
